Pasar (de algo)

How would you say "pasar de algo" with the sense of ignore, I mean, that it is something that is not important. For instance:
Yo paso de lo que esté de moda, lo que me interesa es que la ropa sea cómoda.

And how would you say "pasar de alguien"?

Yes, I suppose that is impolite about people, but not about fashion. You could say about the neighbour "I can't stand him...."
There seems to be a difference between: pasar de algo = I don't give a damn about something
and just pasar: a ese tipo no lo paso = I can't stand that guy

Well, I wouldn't say "a ese tipo no lo paso", but "no lo trago".
"Pasar de alguien" means "ignore" or "pay no attention". If I say "Paso de mi vecina", it doesn't mean that I don't like her (well, it could be implicit), but that I'm not interested in what she is going to tell me or whatever action she could do. I'm not sure if it's clear. [smiley scratching head] :D

I'm just quoting my dictionary, which has a huge entry for pasar, including:
B (familiar) (expresando indiferencia): que se las arreglen, yo paso they can sort it out themselves, it's not my problem o I don't want anything to do with it; pasar de algo: pasa ampliamente de lo que diga la gente she couldn't give a damn about o she couldn't care less what people say (familiar); paso mucho de política I couldn't give a damn about politics (familiar); pasar de alguien (especialmente España): paso de él I don't give a damn what he does/what happens to him (familiar); mis padres pasan de mí my parents couldn't care less what I do/what happens to me
AND
F (familiar) (tolerar, admitir): esto no te lo paso I'm not letting you get away with this; el profesor no te deja pasar ni una the teacher doesn't let you get away with anything; a ese tipo no lo paso or no lo puedo pasar I can't stand o take that guy (familiar); yo el Roquefort no lo paso I can't stand Roquefort, I hate Roquefort; no podía pasar aquella sopa grasienta I couldn't stomach o eat that greasy soup; pasar por alto ‹falta/error› to overlook, forget about; (olvidar, omitir) to forget, leave out, omit, overlook
