The term "Meninas" comes from the word of Portuguese origin that is designated the companions of the royal children at the time, which reflected the Infanta Margarita
Although Velazquez is the best representative of the Spanish Baroque painting, there are grounds for claiming that was innovative in its time,is performed in a vertical format and color.

2A/1 BIBIANA BAHOS. It was a work done by Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez, was a baroque painter, considered one of the maximum exponents of the Spanish painting and teacher of the universal painting.
It was born on June 5, 1599, was the oldest child of eight brothers. The central topic is the portrait of La infanta Margarita of Austria, placed in the first plane, surrounded by his servants, " Las meninas ", though the painting represents also other prominent figures. In the left side is observed part of a great linen, and behind this one the own Velázquez car I portray being employed at him. The artist solved with great skill all the problems of composition of the space, thanks to the domain that had of the color and to the great facility to characterize the prominent figures.
2A-1/ My real world is limited because I cannot realize everything what my imagination wants to do; always I want to be in different places since I love the freedom of doing things that I cannot say think only.
