THE MENINAS
This painting was done in the mid seventeenth century by one of the greatest artists in the history of Spanish art: Velázquez.
Dedicated to the study of painting since the age of eleven, this golden age Seville contributed to ennoble the spanish baroque art in a time when the arts were controlled by the Church and by the Court.

The most original of Las Meninas is the game looks and mirrors that contains a common effect in Baroque art and the immediacy of the moment can be seen in the gestures of the characters, who seem to have been alerted by a call from someone outside the scene.

Las Meninas was the name that is known to the companions of the royal children in the seventeenth century.

Dayanna Rodríguez Cantor. 2a/ 32.
The issue concerning the painting Las Meninas by Diego Velazquez's very interesting to analyze, namely, that by this painting of the Golden Age, known as the Baroque, Professor William, at this time was the periodwhere there was a cultural revolutionary movementproduced a new science and religion.
Diego Velasquez in his painting Las Meninas referred to is the portrait of the Infanta Margarita of Austria, placed in the foreground, surrounded by his servants, Las Meninas, the painting but also represents other characters.
On the left side shows part of a larger canvas, and behind it's own self-portrait Velázquez working on it.The artist skillfully solved all the problems ofcomposition of space, thanks to the color domain andwas very easy to characterize the characters. The vanishing point of the composition is close to thecharacter that appears in the background a dooropening, where the placement of a light show, again, the mastery of the painter, who manages to make scroll the view of the audience for all their representation.
A mirror placed at the bottom reflects the images of King Philip IV and his wife Mariana of Austria, half of the painter who used to publicize what was ingeniouslypainting, a professor William foreground, you see ahunting dog , you ask why a dog is housed in a box, which shows the prestige of the Infanta and her nurses, along with the kings?. In the Baroque the kings were the only ones who could have hunting dogs to distinguishthe clergy, so this animal is included in the painting as areference only prestige of the time.

The central theme is the portrait of the Infanta Margarita of Austria, placed in the foreground, surrounded by his servants, "Las Meninas" painting but also represents other characters. On the left side shows part of a larger canvas, and behind it's own self-portrait Velázquez working on it.
