Imperial Vengeance es una banda Britanica de metal extremo, formada en 2007 por Charles Edward Alexander Hedger (voz, guitarras y orquestación) y David Bryan (bajo, letras) en un intento de explorar ideas y material firmemente arraigados en los días de gloria del Imperio Británico y presentar una amplia gama de temas influidos por sus «historias coloridas sociales y militares, el teatro, la literatura y mitología. A principios de 2008 el duo vio lanzado su primer EP que constaba de 4 canciones y que llamaron: "Death: August & Royal" que incluye el talento de tambores de William Drury, que fue aclamado y llevó a la banda un contrato con el legendario sello Candlelight Records del Reino Unido. Alimentada por el humo del cigarro y el Absentha, el dúo pasó el resto del año escribiendo y despues grabaron su album debut: "At The Going Down Of The Sun" - Diez pistas de lo que el dúo daria a conocer "Dark Metal Aristocrático" que incluye un pasaje especialmente grabado de Harry Patch, quien a la edad de 110 fue el último sobreviviente en haber visto combatir en las trincheras de la Pashcendale. Mezclado y masterizado por Brett Caldas-Lima, y publicado en el mes de julio de 2009, el CD ha atraído una atención considerable y muy positiva con comentarios a nivel internacional. En el siguiente mes de septiembre en un concierto se revelaron los miembros que tocarian en vivo que consiste en Elle Torry y James Murray en las guitarras y las nuevas Última sticksman James Last, con un video de promocion de la pista "6th Airborne Division", lanzado en los 400 estudios de la empresa en Londres. Lo más importante, la banda hizo su concierto debut en vivo en The Garage en Londres, como teloneros de Chthonic seguido de cerca por un conjunto de Recuerdo del Hellfire Festival de NEC de Birmingham con una audiencia de agitando banderas y la atracción de un acuerdo de gestión a nivel mundial con Transcend. En pocas semanas, el dúo grabó un EP en el que versionó la canción La locura clásico "Night Boat To Cairo", con un video convenientemente excéntrico para acompañar el lanzamiento. Recientemente la banda ha anunciado que han completado el ciclo primario por escrito de su segundo disco: “The Black Heart of Empire”, que será lanzado en el 2010 a través de Trancesend
Imperial Vengeance is a British extreme metal act formed in 2007 by C. Edward Alexander (Vocals, Guitars and Orchestration) and David Bryan (Bass, Lyrics) in an attempt to explore ideas and material firmly rooted in the glory days of the British Empire and presenting a wide range of subjects influenced by its’ colourful social and military histories, theatre, literature and mythologies. The early part of 2008 saw the release of the duo’s first endeavour: a self released 4-track EP called "Death: August & Royal" featuring the drumming talents of William Drury, which was met with acclaim and led to the band inking a deal with legendary UK label Candlelight Records. Fuelled by absinthe and cigar smoke, The duo spent the rest of the year writing and then recording their debut album: "At The Going Down Of The Sun"- Ten tracks of what the duo referred to as " Dark Aristocratic Metal" with the title track featuring a specially recorded passage from Harry Patch, who at the age of 110 was the last surviving tommy to have seen combat in the trenches of the Pashcendale. Mixed and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima and released in the July of 2009, the CD has been attracting considerable attention and very positive reviews internationally. In the following September a live line-up was revealed consisting of Elle Torry and James Murray on guitars and new sticksman James Last, with an arresting promo for the track "6th Airborne Division"; shot at the 400 Company studios in London. Most importantly, the band made its’ blistering live debut at The Garage in London, opening for Chthonic closely followed by a set on Remembrance Sunday at Hellfire Festival at Birmingham's NEC to an audience of union flag waving fans, and attracting a worldwide management deal with Transcend Management. Within weeks, the duo recorded an EP in which they covered the classic Madness song "Night Boat To Cairo", with a suitably eccentric video to accompany the release. Most recently the band has announced they have completed the primary writing cycle of the second album: “The Black Heart of Empire” which will be released in 2010 via Trancesend
